Static modelling aims to provide traffic estimations at the roadway network level, generally on a large scale. Because TRANSITEC is able to predict traffic demand without computer modelling, we are able to use this knowledge provide an additional, critical layer of nuance and validity to the results of computer analysis – in other words, we see modelling software as a tool to assist with planning, rather than the starting point.

Modelling results are nevertheless able to orient thinking and contribute to scenario planning and identifying project goals.

TRANSITEC primarily uses VISUM software, but has competencies in a number of other products.
