As part of its work for the Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ), Transitec contributed to the preparation of the National Roadmap for Paratransit Reform. The report provides a strategic framework for national governments seeking to reform the paratransit sector, which remains the backbone of public transport in many African cities. Drawing on international experience, literature review and expert consultations, it offers practical guidance for improving service quality, economic sustainability and the integration of paratransit into urban transport systems.
